Stony Brook Medicine is responding to COVID-19 in concert with local providers and county, state and federal offices and agencies.

COVID-19, also known as coronavirus, is a respiratory disease that spreads rapidly.

If you develop a fever and symptoms of respiratory illness, such as cough or shortness of breath, or have contact with someone who has traveled and is showing symptoms, please contact your primary care provider and describe your symptoms. It is not advised to go to the emergency room first.
