Stony Brook BMI made a major presence at AMIA Annual Symposium 2017 held at Wasington DC, November 4-8, 2017. Besides the Stony Brook BMI exhibition, BMI had a presentation on large scale scale opioid studies in New York State, a poster on social media based drug abuse studies, and a presentation on using blockchain for EMR sharing. Dr. Joel Saltz and Tahsin Kurc were also invited panelists on the panel "20 Years of Digital Pathology - An Overview of the Road Travelled and What is on the Horizon".
