The ACM SIGSPATIAL International Conference on Advances in Geographic Information Systems 2017 (ACM SIGSPATIAL 2017) is the twenty fifth event in a series of symposia and workshops that began in 1993 with the aim of bringing together researchers, developers, users, and practitioners in relation to novel systems based on geo-spatial data and knowledge, and fostering interdisciplinary discussions and research in all aspects of geographic information systems.

All of us at Stony Brook University’s Graduate Program in Biomedical Informatics are so thrilled to be welcoming new students to our Inaugural New Student Orientation on Thursday, August 24, that we just had to mention it here!
