July:  ERAS system opens CI Fellowship application
Recruitment: Accredited for 2 Clinical Informatics fellows per year (total 4)
August-November: Admission committee reviews applications and conducts interviews
December: Match Day

Candidates must be a US citizen, permanent resident, have employment authorization identification (EAD), or have a J-1 visa sponsored by ECFMG.


Fellows in the Stony Brook Clinical Informatics Fellowship receive these additional resources:

  • Annual AMIA Symposium and AMIA CIC travel and registration
  • Access to Health Sciences Library
  • Laptop, iPhone, and other appropriate computing equipment and software provided during fellowship
  • Institutional HIMSS membership
